My Grandma Nona’s Beygalach:



4.5 cups flour

2 sticks butter (250 grams) or for dairy free – Fleismann’s unsalted

1 cup water

tbsp salt

20 grams dry yeast

Mix flour and yeast.If you use fresh yeast – use about 50 grams and first melt the yeast in warm water

Add salt

Cut the butter into small squares and add to the flour

Mix until you get a powdery consistence. add water until you get a smooth dough. If you need more liquids, add some oil.

Cut into small pieces and start shaping into circles.

Dip the top part of the circle in egg and then in any dip you like

Place in a hot oven 400F for at least 30 minutes or until they are golden and hard

Cool and enjoy.
